April 10, 2013: Professor Scott Rogers presents "Mindfulness and the Law, Stress Reduction and Order in the Cortex" at the Federal Bar's Boardroom Luncheon Series taking place at the Banker's Club.

June 1, 2012: Judge Alan Gold presents the keynote luncheon address on mindfulness in law at the “A View from the Bench” program sponsored by the Daily Business Review.

May 11, 2012. The DCBA/FBA Mindfulness Sitting Group met at the DCBA office for its first group sitting. The group met at 12:00 and at 12:15 enjoyed a lightly guided mindfulness sitting. The sitting group meets the second Friday of each month.

The Mindfulness in Law Joint Task Force met on April 24, 2012 at the DCBA office. More than 30 members of the South Florida bench, bar, and academy met to meet each other, discuss mindfulness, and begin to explore ways of deepening their own experience with mindfulness and sharing it with others in the legal community.

The Mindfulness in Law Joint Task Force of the DCBA and Federal Bar Association (South Florida Chapter) had its inaugural meeting on March 20, 2012 at the DCBA office. More than 30 members of the South Florida bench, bar, and academy met to meet each other, discuss mindfulness, and begin to explore ways of deepening their own experience with mindfulness and sharing it with others in the legal community.

January 2012. Mindfulness in Law Task Force
Brett Barfield, president of the Federal Bar Association (South Florida Chapter) and the FBA Board established a Mindfulness-in-Law Task Force to explore the dissemination of information about mindfulness, the development and promotion of mindfulness programs, and the establishment and support of mindfulness lawyer groups.
